Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

Please note: Speclet is currently in early access. These terms govern use of the Speclet application during this period. If you install Speclet through the Atlassian Marketplace, the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use and any end-user agreement presented at install also apply.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Speclet (the "App"), an application for Atlassian Jira. By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

1. The service

Speclet reviews Jira issues to generate acceptance criteria, test checklists, and coverage-gap suggestions. Output is generated using AI and is provided to assist your team. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any output before relying on it. Speclet proposes suggestions; it does not make decisions for you.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Atlassian's applicable policies. You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to process content you do not have the right to process.

3. AI-generated content

Output is generated by an AI model and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Speclet does not guarantee that generated criteria, tests, or gap suggestions are complete or correct. You are solely responsible for verifying and validating all output before use. The App is a productivity aid and is not a substitute for professional judgment or thorough quality assurance.

4. Data

The App processes the Jira issue content you act on to generate output, using Atlassian-hosted AI within Atlassian's infrastructure. Data handling is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Availability and changes

During early access, the App is provided on an "as available" basis and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Features, pricing, and availability may change. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speclet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

7. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App, or your access to it, at any time during early access.

8. Contact
